my plan was to head for covent garden and go to the banana tree as they were pretty good last time and i even had a £10 voucher, so i headed straight for the bakerloo line
i needed to switch to the piccadilly line at piccidilly circus

i generally prefer the stairs to the lift but people look at you as if you are mad
after lunch i had a look at the royal opera house

next stop hampstead - you can either wait for the lift or use the stairs - they are not actually as bad as people say they are - it is interesting that regardless of the number of steps it's always the equivalent to climbing a 15 storey building
about half way up now - they seem to have cctv to check for people that don't make it to the top

next to the tube station is the lanesborough hotel - they had doormen to open the doors to let in wealthy customers arriving in expensive sports cars, but i had to open the door myself as i was dressed very casually and arrived on foot
